As part of our work following the amalgamation of the infant and junior schools, we worked with members of our school community on our vision, ethos, new logo and motto.  Part of this work was to decide which core values were the most important to us within the Whitefriars Primary community.  

Our core values:

We have started developing these through our assemblies, PSHE lessons, policies and lessons explaining them as appropriate to the ages of the children.

AIMS

We have high expectations and to achieve this we aim to:

Our School Logo

Following the amalgamation of the infant and junior schools, it was agreed amongst the school community at the time that recognition of the original two schools was important.  This is why we have two 'W's on our logo.  

We want children to be adventurous and also recognise that learning might not always be easy - it is a journey that can be challenging but reap great rewards.  The logos representing the School Houses (Achieve, Triumph, Persevere, Endeavour and Excel) have always contained images of mountains to reflect this adventurous journey.  The two 'W's echo this too.
