Year 3 Homeworking

Year 3 February half term letter

 Hi everyone!

Over the next few weeks, whilst we are remote learning, we will be using the Seesaw platform for our lessons. You will have used this in Year 2, but if you have forgotten some of the steps, there is a tutorial video on the website in the 'Year group' section.

You have been given your individual Seesaw passwords a couple of times this year, but if you have misplaced these, please contact the office ASAP and we shall email you a new one. Please be patient with this, as we are in school working as normal today and trust we will send them as soon as we can.

Work will be available from today (Tuesday 5th January 2021) and will be in line with what is being taught to key workers in school and what was already on the Curriculum plan.

Please allow your child to complete work independently as much as possible. Obviously, they may need some help and guidance, as they would get in the classroom, but there needs to be a balance of support and working on their own. This will allow us to see what they are actually capable of (helping to plan for further lessons) and also building more independent learning skills, which will hugely benefit them as they go through school. It is ok if they make mistakes, we expect this, as we would in school and we will address them on the platform as necessary.

TTRockstars and daily reading of any books at home are advised as extra work alongside the lessons on Seesaw. Your TTRockstars logins have also gone home and for 3 Snicket they can be found on Seesaw. Again, if you need a new one, please get in contact. You can also access Oxford Owl to get access to e-books and we will put more details about this on Seesaw.

If you are a key worker whose child is in school, they will still get work set on Seesaw, but this is not expected to be completed, as they will be covering it in the classroom. Please only complete work if you are remote learning that day.

From tomorrow, we will be setting work from 9am each day - there will be at least 3 activities; an English, a maths, and something else. You may wish to complete work directly onto Seesaw, or you may want to complete it on paper and upload a picture of what has been completed.

We will mark work in green and pink as usual, and you are even able to edit in purple pen!

We look forward to hearing from you all!
